VANOC reality check

VANOC CEO John Furlong said the Jan. 30-published budget update was "the product of thousands of hours of work by our team over several months. The process lasted dramatically longer than we anticipated."
So, why were only two updated budget and budget summary spreadsheets and a four-page backgrounder released?
Where's the beef?
The May 8, 2007 budget and business plan was a 196-page mammoth. An historic day for a VANOC public disclosure that has not been repeated.
Ask yourself this: if VANOC is so confident that its revised budget is solid, wouldn't it behoove VANOC to offer the public a mirror document to the 2007 version with all the updated facts, figures and assumptions?
